T’was the night before Christmas and all through the Beechwood house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in the hope that Toys-For-Tots would soon be there.
The holidays are a sleigh ride away and its time for all of you big kids out there to collect for Toys-For-Tots. The Beechwood Organization is proud to participate once again, in the US Marine Corps Toys-For-Tots Program. We welcome your donations and ask that by December 20, you bring unwrapped toys to the Country Pointe at Coram Sales Center, the Arverne by the Sea Sales Center, the Beechwood Corporate offices in Jericho and the new Beechwood Regional Sales Center in Islandia.
In an effort to send a message of hope and, give each child the gift of experiencing the joy of Christmas, the U.S. Marine Corps will pick up and deliver the toys to needy children all over the United States by December 24.
Last season, the Beechwood Organization collected a massive amount of toys for the Toys-For-Tots program. This year, as last, the Beechwood staff will collect donations for Toys-For-Tots at Beechwood’s annual Holiday party. According to Jennifer Grenard, Sales Manager for Country Pointe at Coram, “We are so pleased to have the chance to brighten kids’ lives with the Toys-For-Tots Program and have great plans to top last year’s donations!”
Since 1947, the Marines Corps Toys-For-Tots program has been making wishes come true for needy children. The Marines want to ensure that the Toys-For-Tots effort is a success, but can’t accomplish this mission without the holiday cheer and assistance of concerned citizens and business leaders.
“The Arverne Sales Center is beginning to look like a toy store. We are absolutely thrilled with the community response, says Laura Sporny, Sales Manager for Arverne by the Sea. The Marines rely on members of the local community to provide collection locations, promote awareness of the Toys-For-Tots Campaign and to host special events. For the many volunteers making Toys-For-Tots possible this year, the program embodies the true spirit of the holidays.
The Beechwood Organization is proud to support the Marines once again, in this wonderful gesture bringing joy to the lives of the under-privileged children. The gift of a new toy, something that many children take for granted, tells a needy child that someone cares, that they have not been forgotten and that, yes, Virginia…… there is a Santa Claus!
