Beechwood kicks off 2018 with 3.9 million square feet of developments in progress and new ones on the map in Nassau County, Suffolk County and Queens.
The largest lifestyle community in Nassau County, Country Pointe Plainview, is taking shape. The 143-acre property primarily for 55+ active adults is being transformed into 750 homes with a 29,000-square-foot clubhouse; a 118,450-square-foot retail plaza with 71,450-square-foot ShopRite Supermarket; 57 contiguous acres dedicated to the Town of Oyster Bay for public recreation; plus a two-mile walking trail connecting to Trail View State Park. Sited at the Rockaways oceanfront, the master planned community developed as part of a joint venture was acknowledged by the Urban Land Institute for its high construction standards and being built for “Sandy” storm resiliency. This mixed-use community of 2296 homes is the largest oceanfront, residential revitalization project in the Northeast.
At Country Pointe Woods in Smithtown, 69 condominium townhomes, apartments, clubhouse and outdoor pool, on the former site of an abandoned hospital will give buyers downsizing or working nearby the benefits of on-site amenities and maintenance-free living in a central Suffolk location.
At Country Pointe Huntington, an underutilized area is being revived with 76 villas and townhomes where families can get their start, and empty nesters can stay, on Long Island.
At the gateway to Long Island’s Pine Barrens region, Beechwood is developing Country Pointe Estates Ridge, 94 single family and ranch homes on a parcel of 99-acres, of which 46.25 wooded acres are dedicated as an open space preserve in perpetuity.
On the East End, Beechwood is recognized for repurposing a former industrial work site into 69 condominium homes at the trendsetting Bishops Pond, the first luxury resort lifestyle community of its kind in the Hamptons.
