Michael Dubb is principal and co-founder of the Beechwood Organization in Jericho. He and Leslie Lerner founded the company, in 1980. In its 25 year history, Beechwood has developed 55 communities, built more than 5,000 homes and is currently throughout Nassau, Suffolk, the Bronx, Westchester and Queens counties. The company develops single family homes, townhouses and condominium villas for age qualified communities, gated communities, estate caliber homes, apartment complexes, office buildings and custom designed luxury developments, Spruce Pond at North Hills, resulted in $50 million in sales. “Globally, we have seen soaring house price over a relatively short period of time,” Dubb said, “The common conception by industry experts was that the housing bubble would burst – there was no bubble and so there was no burst.” New York is following this global trend, Dubb said, and the housing bubble that is being forecasted is unlikely to happen. “The demand for housing greatly outnumbers the supply of housing on the market,” he said. Dubb is leading the development of Beechwood’s latest project, Meadowbrook Pointe Athletic Club & Spa, a residential development for those 55 years and over. Meadowbrook Pointe offers 720 homes on 52 acres on the former Roosevelt Raceway site in Westbury. The Beechwood Organization consists of an in house legal, acquisition and analysis division, in house mortgage services and marketing, advertising and design departments. Beechwood ranks 138th on Professional Builder magazines Giants Listing of the Top 400 Builders in the U.S.: its is listed as the 113th largest builder in the country by builder magazine, and featured in Crain magazine’s listing of the Top 200 privately held companies in New York. Dubb is the recipient of the 2004 David Award, hosted by Networking magazine. He also established and served as the president of Long Island Homebuilders Care, a charitable foundation providing construction projects and renovations for those in need on Long Island.
