Charity Affiliations
Michael Dubb is recognized for his professional and charitable contributions to Long Island taking great pride in giving back to the community he has called home all his life. Born and raised on Long Island, he is highly active in professional, civic and community organizations.
A past president and currently chairman of The Belmont Childcare Association, Michael spearheaded, built and donated materials for construction of Anna House, a 7500-square-foot day care center for the children of Belmont Racetrack’s backstretch workers. This innovative project, providing daily education and care for more than 70 children each day, 365 days a year, was the first of its kind in the nation and set a standard for other racetracks to emulate. In 2011, due to the overwhelming need for this program, and to accommodate additional children, Mr. Dubb built a 1500-square-foot extension. He has also led in the renovation of several NYRA backstretch dormitories as well as the construction of new dormitories.
Along with the Beechwood team, Michael also rebuilt homes for Long Islanders after Superstorm Sandy, The American Cancer Society, American Jewish Committee, Family Service League, Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corporation, Mid-Island Y JCC, Suffolk YJCC, Tilles Center and Networking Magazine have honored Michael for his philanthropy and community service.
