Tucked away in a heavily wooded alcove within the Long Island town of Brookhaven, The Beechwood Organization has begun construction on its exclusive 94-home community, Country Pointe Estates Ridge.
“Located in the hamlet of Ridge, known as the gateway to the Pine Barrens, the community is adjacent to a 46-acre pristine wooded preserve with easy access to some of the region’s most beautiful natural sights,” says Steven Dubb, Beechwood’s principal.
With groundwork already underway, the tree-lined neighbourhood offers six different home models of the ranch and two-story variety, each being built with energy efficiency in mind. The homes — based on modern open floor plans — range in size from 2,200 to 3,300 square feet.
Homes will have anywhere from three to five bedrooms and two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half bathrooms as per plan. The two-story models’ plan includes a master suite on each floor, and all homes will feature two-car garages, full basements, wood flooring and cabinetry, granite countertops, and gourmet kitchens.
Country Pointe Estates Ridge boasts a serene backdrop in the same seaside region as the storied Hamptons (just to the east) and is near the majestic Brookhaven State Park and Rocky Point Pine Preserve. But it’s also close to the Long Island Expressway, providing a direct route to Manhattan.
And residents who will one day call Country Pointe Estates Ridge home can count on the natural character of the neighbourhood standing the test of time: slightly more than half of the 99-acre plot of land set aside for development will remain as a forested open-space preserve, Beechwood has stated.
Beechwood, Long Island’s biggest developer, is currently offering special pre-construction pricing on homes at Country Pointe starting at $450,000. With prices expected to rise, savings from this early-bird sale could amount to $150,000. The first completed homes will be move-in ready for summer 2016
